When did the Lantern Festival originate?
Lantern Festival originated in the Western Han Dynasty. According to legend, after the death of Emperor Hui of Han Dynasty, he usurped the throne and appointed a large number of Lu's cronies, with eunuchs in power. After Lv Hou's death, Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty ascended the throne with the help of old loyal ministers in 179 BC, and learned from others. On the fifteenth day of the first month, the remnants of Zhu Lu were swept away in one fell swoop. Because "night" and "night" were synonyms in ancient times. The first month is also called January. In order to commemorate the fifteenth day of the first month, Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty designated this day as "Lantern Festival".
From the Sui Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, and then to Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, in order to show the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, the old customs were followed one by one. Lantern Festival is decorated with lanterns to celebrate the carnival. "A song is like the sea, and a million lights are like the night", which makes this festival more prosperous.
