Solstice of winter. . . . What are the customs?
1, ancestor worship
In the folk, the days around the winter solstice are the days to pay homage to ancestors. There are regional differences in the ways and contents of ancestor worship from the winter solstice to the sun, which has a strong local color. In some parts of our country, people pay homage to their parents and elders as well as their ancestors. People who go out to make a living should return to their hometown on the winter solstice, indicating that they have a home at the end of the year.
2, Jiujiu Quhan
The winter solstice begins to enter the cold winter. In ancient times, there was a custom of painting nine plum blossoms in winter to the sun, such as the "Nine-Nine Cold Map" or "Sumei Map". Fill a petal every day. When all the petals are filled, it will be sunny in September. Pass the long winter poetically with painting.
Step 3 eat wonton
As the saying goes, "winter solstice wonton, summer solstice noodles." According to legend, during the Han Dynasty, the Xiongnu in the north often harassed the frontier, and the people were restless. At that time, the Xiongnu tribe had two leaders, Xiongnu and Tun. They were very cruel and hated by the people, so they were wrapped in meat and called "wonton". I hate eating, and I want to quell the war and live a peaceful life. Because wonton was originally made on the winter solstice, every family eats wonton on the winter solstice.
4. Red bean rice
In Jiangnan water town, there is a custom that the whole family get together to eat red beans and glutinous rice in the evening from winter to Sunday. According to legend, * * * Gong died in the winter, became a god of plague after his death, and continued to harm the people. However, this plague ghost is most afraid of red beans, so people cook red bean rice in winter solstice to resist plague ghosts and prevent diseases.
Step 5 Eat jiaozi.
"The solstice in winter is not the jiaozi Bowl. Who cares if the ears are frozen?" In northern China, there is a custom of eating jiaozi on the solstice in winter. On this day every year, jiaozi is an indispensable holiday feast for the rich and the poor. According to legend, this custom is to commemorate the kindness of "medical sage" Zhang Zhongjing in "Quhan Joule Decoction".
The above are some introductions about the winter solstice customs that I know. Friends, what other customs do you know? Welcome to add, let's meet in the comment area ~
