The story of winter solstice 10.

There was a doctor named Zhang Zhongjing at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. His medical skill is very good, and everything is at your fingertips. People all call him a "magic doctor".

One winter, when Zhang Zhongjing came back from practicing medicine in other places, he saw that the poor people's bodies, faces and ears were frozen because of lack of cotton-padded clothes. Some people even turn black and their ears fester. He is anxious when he sees it in his eyes.

As soon as he got home, Zhang Zhongjing and his disciples immediately set up a shed in the open space and put it on the cauldron. Among them, some mutton, pepper, ginger, pepper, fennel, Gleditsia sinensis and other cold-dispelling herbs are put into a pot and boiled. After cooking, take it out and break it, and then cook it with bread in the shape of an ear. Zhang Zhongjing called it "Quhan Joule Decoction".

On the solstice of winter, people gather around the hut. Zhang Zhongjing and his disciples gave everyone a bowl of cold soup and two charming ears. Strangely, people drink Quhan decoction, and after eating Joule, their ears are burning and their whole body is hot. My ears were all healed in less than half a month.

Later, on the winter solstice, people would imitate Joule Bao jiaozi to eat. People say that jiaozi won't freeze his ears when he eats the winter solstice.

Diary:

Eating jiaozi is an ancient tradition of mine. Every winter solstice, every family in our country will pack jiaozi and eat jiaozi. I like jiaozi, and I like jiaozi with meat and leeks. Therefore, my mother wraps my favorite dumpling stuffing on the solstice every winter.

I don't have the pleasure of beating flour on the noodle table with my family like others, and I don't have the special jiaozi that others want to wrap. All I know is that I roll noodles, and my mother makes jiaozi. Because only in this case, I have more patience to listen to my mother's nagging, and I can know how to be filial in the future by listening to my mother's thoughts from this "nagging".

This makes me understand why eating jiaozi can become an enduring tradition in China, and also makes me understand the love contained in Bao jiaozi before eating jiaozi.
