Motorcycle carburetor

Structurally, except for the throttle valve and vacuum plunger, the two carburetors are basically the same. The throttle lift and air intake of plunger carburetor are mainly controlled by throttle cable, while the throttle lift of vacuum diaphragm carburetor is controlled by throttle opening (controlled by throttle cable) and negative pressure generated during engine operation, so vacuum diaphragm carburetor is more suitable for engine operation. The vacuum diaphragm absorbs the change of engine negative pressure, so its plunger part (throttle) is less worn, and the vacuum diaphragm has no leakage of engine gas, so the plunger control is more accurate. Theoretically, it would be atomized. At middle and low speed, the acceleration of plunger carburetor is slightly better, because the throttle valve is lifted more directly, but it is almost the same at high speed. Generally speaking, the vacuum diaphragm carburetor is superior to the plunger carburetor, so this carburetor is widely used in high-performance and high-grade motorcycles.
