When was the scene in The Devil in Tianzhu Temple on August 15th written?
Original poem
Guizi of Tianzhu Temple on the night of August 15th.
Don Pi Rixiu
Yu Xing got off the moon wheel and picked up the dew in front of the temple. So far, there is nothing in the sky, but Chang 'e should be thrown to people.
This poem is a seven-character quatrain written by Pi Rixiu, a writer of Jingling in the Tang Dynasty, and it is included in Volume 6 15 of Complete Tang Poetry. This poem uses the rhetorical devices of metaphor and association to eulogize the reality of things and express the mood of enjoying the moon and celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
According to historical records, the ancient emperors had festivals to worship the sun in spring and the moon in autumn on August 15th of the lunar calendar, which happened to be the half moon in Sanqiu, hence the name "Mid-Autumn Festival".
The poet wrote this poem on the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, which is related to the fact that the poet was admitted to high school the year before. At this time, the poet was traveling eastward, and it was also the time when the poet was in high spirits. Therefore, in such a festive occasion, when the poet was proud, the poet wrote this poem under such a background.
This poem describes sweet-scented osmanthus, which falls on the mountain as pure as jade and is more crystal clear in the moonlight. Picking up flowers with dew is more nourishing, and I want to be the Chang 'e scattered all over the earth. The theme of the whole poem is Mid-Autumn Festival, which shows the full feelings of enjoying the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival. According to this poem, it is said in myths and legends that WU GANG was punished by God for cutting down a laurel tree in the Moon Palace. Because the tree has been cut down, it has to be cut down continuously, but it is impossible to cut it down all the time. But this poem is not as bleak and withered as other poems describing the Mid-Autumn Festival, or it is melancholy and sad. The whole poem gives a relaxed and carefree feeling.
Although it only describes a picture of "enjoying the laurel at night", it makes readers understand this folk custom-you must enjoy the laurel at Mid-Autumn Festival. The content is the poet's association, but it doesn't make people feel empty. Clever association adds a bit of banter to "silent" poetry. People can't help but think of the Mid-Autumn Festival of the ancients.
