Large trucks generally use air braking, which is a mechanical braking device that can reduce the speed, also known as reducer.

Driven by an air pump through an engine, the air is compressed into high-pressure gas and stored in a gas cylinder. One of the gas cylinders can be connected to the master cylinder through a pipeline, and the brake master cylinder is divided into an upper air chamber and an lower air chamber, wherein the upper air chamber controls the rear wheel and the lower air chamber controls the front wheel.

When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the upper air is turned on first, and then the high-pressure gas from the air reservoir is delivered to the relay valve to push the brake cylinder push rod forward. By adjusting the cam of the handlebar, the cam is eccentric, and at the same time, the brake shoe is opened to friction the brake, thus achieving the braking effect.

In addition, there is a19mm screw on the adjusting arm. Just use a wrench to tighten the screw to the maximum, and then back up the two buttons (60). Observe the adjusting arm when it is tightened. If the adjusting arm goes in the direction of the brake cylinder, it is tight braking, and the opposite direction is loose braking. Note that when adjusting the brake, the air pressure of the gas cylinder must be sufficient, and the hand brake must be released to adjust.

Precautions for braking of large trucks: When a large truck needs braking, just lightly step on the brake pedal. Whether it is general braking or emergency braking, you should gradually step on the brake pedal once and keep it still until the speed drops or the car stops.

When the speed drops or stops, slowly lift the brake pedal. Even if emergency braking is needed, slowly lift the brake pedal. You can't step on it at once, lift it up at once. Lifting the brake pedal is a deflation process. Therefore, after the braking effect is achieved, you must lift the brake pedal slowly and gradually to avoid wasting air pressure.
