The sky is crisp, the day is hot and the night is cool, and the vegetation is yellow.

This is a seven-character quatrain that expresses the fifth solar term in autumn. The poet Heshui Zuo described the climate and phenology of the cold dew solar terms in four short sentences and 28 words. The weather was crisp, the evening breeze was cool, the phoenix tree was yellow, the vegetation was sparse, and the autumn chrysanthemum was fragrant. At the same time, it expresses the specific situation that farmers sow winter wheat in the wild and urban and rural residents pay attention to health care in their diet. The words used in the whole poem are refined and accurate, and the materials are typical, which is rich in the climate, plants and people's production and life characteristics in the cold and dew season.
