3. 14 What festival?

March 14 is white day, which is generally considered as a continuation of Western Valentine's Day and originated in Rome in the third century. Legend has it that the Roman emperor set up Valentine's Day to commemorate that he saved a pair of lovers who were about to be executed for violating the prohibition of love and marriage in February 14.
