Tomb-Sweeping Day has a long tradition since ancient times. Rich in content, but sweeping the grave is the most important. Tomb-Sweeping Day not only pays attention to the prohibition of fire to sweep graves, but also has a series of custom sports activities such as hiking, flying kites, tug-of-war and planting trees. According to legend, this is because Tomb-Sweeping Day wants to ban cold food and fire. In order to prevent cold food and cold meals from hurting people, everyone comes to participate in some sports activities, which can not only exercise but also enhance family friendship. Therefore, this festival not only remembers the ancestors, but also has the fun of hiking. This is a unique festival.
Worship of tomb ancestors
Grave-sweeping is actually a sacrifice to ancestors. Out of ancestor worship, it is also a manifestation of cautious pursuit.
I am very much in favor of civilized ancestor worship. As future generations, we should always remember the kindness of our ancestors, inherit their fine morality and wisdom, carry forward their great achievements, carry forward the past and forge ahead into the future, be a good person worthy of our ancestors and society, and strive to educate the next generation into useful people. This is the greatest filial piety to our ancestors. Moreover, paying homage to relatives is mainly emotional and an expression of mourning for relatives. You don't need superstitious things, you should advocate "thick cultivation and book burial". I think it is enough for Tomb-Sweeping Day to present a bunch of beautiful and holy flowers when he visits the grave.
play on the swing
Swing is a sport created by northern minorities in ancient China. It was introduced into the Central Plains in the Spring and Autumn Period. Because its equipment is simple and easy to learn, it is deeply loved by people and quickly swept the country. After the Han Dynasty, the swing gradually became a folk sports activity in Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival and other festivals, which has been passed down to this day.
Swing can not only improve health, but also cultivate brave spirit. So far, it is deeply loved by people, especially children. It is safest to have parents around to take care of children when they are playing.
gamecock
In ancient times, cockfighting competitions prevailed in Qingming, which began in Qingming and lasted until the summer solstice. The earliest record of cockfighting in China can be found in Zuo Zhuan. In the Tang dynasty, cockfighting became a common practice, not only among the people, but also the emperor. For example, Tang Xuanzong likes cockfighting best.
a rat race
It was called "tug of war" in the early days and "strong hook" in the Tang Dynasty. It was invented at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, which became popular in the military and later spread among the people. During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, a large tug-of-war was held in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Since then, tug-of-war has become a part of the Qingming custom.
20 15 12, tug-of-war (tug-of-war) applied by Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines was successfully listed in the intangible cultural heritage list.
spring outing
During the Qingming Festival, spring returns to the earth, and there is a vibrant scene everywhere, which is a good time to go for an outing. People in our country have always maintained the habit of going for an outing in Qingming.
Spring March, leaving an eternal moment, slowly watching the spring scenery along the way. In this season of freehand brushwork, I have come into contact with colorful thick ink, endless beauty and endless tenderness.
The pace of time will not wait for you, time is too thin, fingers are too wide, and happiness is around. Don't wait any longer, let's go for a spring outing. ......
Chuanliuzhi
Tomb-Sweeping Day is the time when willows sprout and smoke is green. There are folk customs of folding willow, piercing willow and inserting willow. When people go out for an outing, they break off some wicker branches, which can be played with in their hands, woven into hats and worn on their heads, or taken home and inserted on the lintels and eaves.
It may also be related to the custom of using willow branches to beg for new fire in the past cold food festival. Today, it seems that breaking willow branches at will is a kind of damage to trees and should not be advocated.
plant trees
Before and after Tomb-Sweeping Day, the spring is bright, the spring is bright, and the spring rain is falling. The planted seedlings have high survival rate and fast growth. Therefore, China has the habit of planting trees in Qingming since ancient times. Some people even call Tomb-Sweeping Day Arbor Day. The custom of planting trees has been passed down to this day.
1979, the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) stipulated March 12 every year as China's Arbor Day. This is of great significance to mobilize people of all ethnic groups in China to actively carry out activities to green the motherland.
fly a kite
Fly a kite. Flying kites is a popular custom in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Its effect accords with the way of self-cultivation in traditional medicine. Flying kites in sunny nature is the best sunbathing and air bath. Running and stopping physical exercise can enhance cardiopulmonary function, metabolism and physical fitness. "Smile, ten years younger" is also an important factor for longevity.

"There are many rains during the Qingming period, and pedestrians on the road want to break their souls." Tomb-Sweeping Day is one of the important traditional festivals in our motherland. Whenever festivals come, we will always feel the charm of traditional festivals in China through various forms under the organization of the school.
Do you know that?/You know what? As a famous historical and cultural city in the Seven Dynasties, Kaifeng has a deep origin and important connection with Qingming culture! Zhang Zeduan, a famous painter in the Northern Song Dynasty, recorded the prosperity of Kaifeng in the Northern Song Dynasty with calligraphy and painting, which made Kaifeng famous all over the world and entered the China Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo. This is the famous Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival.
Tomb-Sweeping Day is around April 5th of the Gregorian calendar every year. It is not only a traditional festival in China, but also one of the 24 solar terms in the China lunar calendar. During the Qingming Festival, the temperature in most parts of China turned warmer, and everything sprouted, which was a vibrant scene.
There is also a touching legend about Tomb-Sweeping Day. Legend has it that in the Spring and Autumn Period, a courtier named Jiezitui gave his life to Jin Wengong, who was hungry in exile, in order to help Jin Wengong in trouble, and was honored as a savior by Jin Wengong. Later, in order to repay the benefactor, Jin Wengong asked the hermit on the mountain to push him out as a high official, but he couldn't say anything. Jin Wengong had no choice but to let Yamakaji force him out to be an official. He would rather burn to death with a big tree than go out of the mountain. Jin Wengong was very sad, so he designated this day as Tomb-Sweeping Day, and issued an order that people in Tomb-Sweeping Day could not make a fire to cook, but only eat cold food to commemorate Jiexiu who was loyal to patriotism and indifferent to fame and fortune. This is one of the origins of Tomb-Sweeping Day.
Before Tomb-Sweeping Day last year, I had a close contact with Qingming Culture. The school recommended me to participate in the recording of a large-scale special program of Qingming culture in CCTV, which made me fascinated by news photography. In the process of shooting, I have a more intuitive understanding of Qingming culture. It was particularly impressive to remember the martyrs who created a peaceful, stable and happy life for us at the recording site of the martyrs cemetery and under the monument, and to learn their heroic deeds on the spot. The dauntless and sacrificial spirit of the martyrs will always make us respect, inspire and guide our study and growth. I think this is also an important part of Qingming culture.
Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, we should cherish the memory of the deceased relatives, friends and people who have made selfless contributions to our happy life, so that this important traditional festival can be passed down forever and become an indelible mark of the traditional culture of the motherland.
