National Industrial Science Daqing Conference (1977)

1977 was held in Daqing Oilfield and Beijing from April 20th to May 4th. More than 7000 people attended the meeting. The Central Committee and the State Council awarded 2 126 national Daqing-style enterprises and national advanced enterprises and 385 national advanced producers.

On April 20th, the meeting opened in Daqing Oilfield. President the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Premier Hua Guofeng of the State Council presided over the opening ceremony, Vice Premier Li Xiannian of the State Council delivered the opening speech, and Song, Secretary of Daqing Municipal Party Committee, introduced the basic experience of Daqing. On April 27th, the press conference continued in Beijing. On May 4th, Vice Premier the State Council was entrusted by the Central Committee to make a report to the General Assembly. On May 14, the conference closed, and Ji Dengkui, Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council, made a closing speech. Vice Premier Wang Zhen and Gu Mu of the State Council presented "Letters of Honor" to the delegates.
