Vehicle filtering, cleaning and maintenance
Many people know the maintenance and cleaning of the filter element, but it is not very comprehensive.
Filters mainly include oil filter, air filter, air conditioner filter and gasoline filter, and some models also include gearbox oil filter and booster oil filter.
The oil filter element filters engine oil and must be replaced every time the oil is changed.
The air cleaner element filters the air entering the engine.
Generally, there is dusty weather in the north, so it needs to be cleaned or replaced every time the oil is changed.
In the south, the frequency of replacement is generally not very frequent.
The air conditioning filter element filters and purifies the air inside the car. Therefore, it should be taken seriously in daily maintenance.
The gasoline filter element filters the gasoline in the oil supply system.
In the past, it was usually 10000- 15000KM for replacement. At present, the quality and cleanliness of domestic gasoline are generally improved, so some automobile manufacturers have extended the replacement cycle of gasoline filter elements.
Although there are various filter elements for protection, it is inevitable that fine dust will enter the engine, so it is necessary to regularly clean up the carbon deposits in various system components of the engine.
External cause of carbon deposition: fuel effect
At present, the widespread use of ethanol gasoline at home and abroad will also accelerate the formation of carbon deposits.
Ethanol gasoline will increase carbon deposition by 20% compared with ordinary gasoline.
External cause of carbon deposition: fuel quality
During the storage and transportation of gasoline, it is easy to react with air to generate colloidal substances, and the colloid content of gasoline itself is very high. These colloids enter the combustion chamber with gasoline through the fuel supply system of the vehicle, and then burn with gasoline, which will produce a lot of carbon deposits in the injector, combustion chamber, back of intake valve, air intake and other parts.
In addition, gasoline also contains water and various microorganisms, which will corrode the fuel tank and block the oil circuit and fuel nozzle.
External cause of carbon deposition: air quality
Due to environmental pollution and poor air quality, even through the air filter, the purity of intake air cannot be absolutely guaranteed. In exhaust gas recirculation, the mixture of fine particles in the air, engine oil vapor, EGR exhaust gas and fuel vapor EPPC adheres to the air inlet and throttle valve, and some gases containing dust particles enter the combustion chamber at high temperature, resulting in incomplete combustion. Carbon deposition occurs at high temperature, and part of it enters the three-way catalyst, which leads to the dirty three-way catalyst.
External causes of carbon deposition: road conditions
The vehicle is always in a stop-and-go state, so the engine cannot run at high speed, and the fuel or lubricating oil escaping into the combustion chamber cannot burn 100%. The unburned part of fuel forms colloid under the action of high temperature and oxygen, which adheres to the surface of parts inside the engine, and then forms carbon deposit under the action of high temperature.
Internal causes of carbon deposition: emission control
The internal cause of carbon deposition is the long-term accumulation of engine oil vapor of PVC(PVG valve mainly plays the role of oil-gas separation) valve, EGR (preventing engine combustion chamber from overheating, inhibiting NO generation and reducing NO compound emission) exhaust gas and fuel vapor in exhaust gas recirculation, and EVAP activated carbon canister, which also intensifies the generation of carbon deposition.
Internal cause of carbon deposition: thermal baking effect
After the engine is stopped, because the cooling system stops working, the internal temperature of the engine cannot be emitted, and the unburned fuel evaporates at high temperature in the engine, which is transformed into colloid and combined with other impurities, which intensifies the formation of carbon deposits.
