Where is Pingtan?

Pingtan is located in the east of Fujian Province, adjacent to Fuqing City by Haitan Strait in the west and Putian City in the south. There are many islands in Pingtan county, and the coastline is tortuous. The types are bedrock erosion coast, red soil erosion coast, sand pond coast, sandy muddy coast and mixed sand pond coast.

Pingtan county consists of 126 islands, with a land area of 37 1.9 1 square kilometer, a sea area of over 6,000 square kilometers and a coastline of 399.82 kilometers. Haitan Island, the main island, is also a famous fishing base. Pingtan County and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone implement the "administrative integration" management system.

The annual average temperature 19.6℃ and the coldest daily average temperature 10.2℃. The average temperature on the hottest day is 27.9℃. The annual active accumulated temperature is ≥10℃ for 6563 days, and the average sunshine for many years is 19 19.7 hours. The rainy season and the hot season are the same, and the dry season and the rainy season are completely different. The average annual precipitation 1 172 mm and evaporation 1300 mm are one of the rainy areas in Fujian province.
