First of all, if there is a plastic heat shield on the engine, it needs to be removed first.

When the hood is removed, we can usually see the throttle. There are some air pipes around the throttle. We need to remove these pipes and remember their positions clearly.

After removing the air line on the throttle, we can remove the whole throttle. Trent's throttle is fixed on the engine block with four bolts, and we can quickly remove it with suitable tools.

The side of the throttle near the combustion chamber is generally dirty with black carbon deposits, which is the main part we want to clean.

Cleaning the throttle is mainly to remove carbon deposits on it. We can use special throttle washer fluid or cleaner. It should be noted here that the cleaning principle of this cleaning agent is to dissolve carbon deposit, and its composition is harmful to human body. It is best to wear gloves and masks when cleaning.

Spray the cleaner to the position with more carbon deposits on the throttle, and wait for about 5- 10 minutes to dissolve the carbon deposits. Using brushes can speed up the removal of carbon deposits.

When we see that the stain on the accelerator has completely dissolved, we can wipe the detergent inside the accelerator with a clean towel. The picture above shows the clean back of the throttle, with no traces of carbon deposition.

Install the clean throttle valve on the engine block in the original position? Then install all the air pipes to complete the whole process of cleaning the throttle. After all the hardware is installed, we need to initialize throttle.
