What influence does fuel treasure have on cars?

Whether fuel treasure is useful for cars is like asking people if it is useful to take supplements. It takes a long time to see the effect, not once or twice. Therefore, it is suggested that if fuel additives are to be used, they should be used for a long time, which is conducive to reducing the formation of carbon deposits in vehicles.

The main function of fuel treasure is to improve the octane number of gasoline, make gasoline burn more fully and reduce the formation of carbon deposit. This can maintain engine power and fuel consumption. Engine power will not decrease, and fuel consumption will increase due to excessive carbon deposition.

At present, the mainstream fuel treasure in the market can be divided into two categories according to chemical composition: pea family and PIBA family. These two substances are surfactants, which are the representative components of the fifth and fourth generation gasoline detergents respectively.

Based on these two chemicals, they become "stock solution" after refining and concentration, and then the finished product can be obtained after dilution and blending.

Almost all the stock solutions used in fuel treasure are provided by five major chemical enterprises. They are: Afton, BASF, Chevron, Lubrizol and Huntsman. BASF mainly produces polyisobutylene amine (PIBA), while Chevron mainly produces polyether amine (PEA), which is well-known in China.

In short, the products of many additive manufacturers in fuel treasure are actually for these five stock solutions manufacturers to buy stock solutions and then go back and dilute them themselves. In addition, the original additives of Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen and other automobile brands are also OEM products provided by these five chemical companies.

Polyisobutylamine (PIBA) can clean the carbon deposits in the fuel system and intake system (intake, valve and nozzle), but because of its high thermal stability, it is not easy to decompose at high temperature, so it will increase the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. Polyether amine (PEA) can effectively control the carbon deposition in fuel system and intake system, and significantly reduce the carbon deposition in combustion chamber. Generally speaking, ordinary EFI vehicles can use polyisobutylene amine (PIBA); Polyether amine (PEA) is recommended for in-cylinder direct injection vehicles.
