Significance of the International Meteorological Festival: To promote the establishment of a worldwide meteorological observation network and the standardization of meteorological observation services.

World Meteorological Day, also known as International Meteorological Day, is the anniversary of the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization, which falls on March 23rd every year. The establishment of the World Meteorological Organization is to commemorate the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization and the effective date of the International Meteorological Organization Convention (1March 23, 950).

Every year, "World Meteorological Day" has a theme, which requires member countries to hold celebrations on this day to widely publicize the important role of meteorological work.

Historical origin of Meteorological Day:

In order to better commemorate the formal establishment of the World Meteorological Organization, March 23rd every year is designated as World Meteorological Day, also known as International Meteorological Day. At first, the official status of the International Meteorological Organization (WMO) was not high, but it was renamed as the World Meteorological Organization on March 23rd, 195 1, which became an international meteorological cooperation institution among countries and had a direct relationship with the United Nations.

1960, the World Meteorological Organization decided to designate the 23rd of each year as the World Memorial Day, so every member country was required to hold corresponding celebrations. In the process of social development, global climate issues have been widely concerned by people, and the establishment of Meteorological Day has also started.
