How to repair the oil leakage of valve cover

① First check whether there is oil leakage outside.

Pay special attention to whether the oil seals at the front and rear ends of the crankshaft leak oil. Damage or aging of the oil seal at the front end of the crankshaft or wear of the contact surface between the crankshaft pulley and the oil seal will cause oil leakage at the front end of the crankshaft. The oil seal at the rear end of the crankshaft is broken or damaged, or the oil return hole of the rear main bearing cover is too small, and the oil return is blocked, which will cause oil leakage at the rear end of the crankshaft. In addition, pay attention to whether the oil seal at the rear end of the camshaft leaks oil. Oil seal aging, cracking and oil leakage should be replaced in time. In addition, it is necessary to check whether there is external leakage in all parts of the engine lubrication system.

② Whether the front and rear oil seals leak oil.

Even front and rear cylinder heads, front and rear valve tappet chambers, oil filters, oil pan gaskets and other places have oil leakage, but no obvious oil leakage can be seen. Check the crankcase ventilation device, clean the crankcase ventilation pipeline, especially check whether the PCV valve is not working properly due to carbon deposition and adhesive. If the crankcase is poorly ventilated, it is likely to lead to an increase in the pressure in the crankcase, leading to multiple oil leaks.

③ If the oil filter and some oil pipe joints still leak oil after fastening, pay attention to check whether the oil pressure is too high and the oil pressure limiting valve is not working well.
