In order to improve the speed stability of the actuator in pneumatic transmission, speed regulating valve (or one-way throttle valve) is generally used for speed regulation.

The speed regulating valve consists of a one-way valve and a throttle valve in parallel. When adjusting, the cross-sectional areas of the inlet and outlet are different, and the fluid is only controlled in one direction, that is, the gas entering the cylinder is uncontrolled and cannot be adjusted, and the gas discharged is controlled and can be adjusted.

This is because when the gas enters the actuator, it will expand greatly. If the piston has no back pressure damping, it will move forward quickly, or the speed and propulsion of the cylinder cannot be controlled ideally according to the change of load. The regulating principle of the speed regulating valve is: under the condition of not regulating and controlling the gas entering the actuator (the function of one-way valve), the gas to be discharged is throttled and regulated, and back pressure damping is formed in the exhaust cavity, so that the gas can be discharged slowly or quickly, thus effectively stabilizing the forward speed of the cylinder.
