What is the difference between OBD and EPC?
OBD, as the abbreviation of a proper term, is called on-board diagnosis system, which means: on-board automatic diagnosis system in Chinese. The system can monitor the working state of the engine electronic control system and other functional modules of the vehicle in real time during the driving process. If the working condition is abnormal, the specific fault can be judged according to a specific algorithm and stored in the memory of the system in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). The useful information obtained after system self-diagnosis can help vehicle maintenance. Maintenance personnel can use the special instrument of the original automobile factory to read the fault code, so as to quickly locate the fault, facilitate vehicle maintenance and reduce the time of manual diagnosis.
Epc is an electronic regulation system for engine power. When the epc light is on, it may be that the electronic throttle system is faulty or the brake switch is faulty.
