What is the main function of the throttle position sensor?

The main function of throttle position sensor is to detect the change of throttle opening and judge the working condition of engine. Mainly used in the electronic fuel injection system and electronic automatic transmission system of engines, the change of throttle opening is converted into an electrical signal and input to the electronic control unit ECU, which judges the working condition of the engine according to the throttle position signal, and then the computer corrects the fuel injection quantity according to the working condition information, which is essentially a variable resistor. Throttle position sensor can be divided into linear output throttle position sensor and dry output throttle position sensor.
