Fox p2 122 Fault Solution

The P2 122 fault code means that the sensor switch or circuit of the accelerator pedal position is low. If this fault code appears, you should check whether the accelerator pedal sensor circuit is open or short, or whether the control module of the sensor itself is faulty.

P2 122 fault code, applicable to all automobile manufacturers, indicates that the throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D circuit is low. In the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system, the function of the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor is to transmit the position of the accelerator pedal to the throttle control module in the form of an electrical signal, which serves as a reference for the throttle actuator to control the throttle opening. The fault causes include the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor circuit open circuit or short circuit to ground, APP sensor itself fault, electronic control module (PCM or ECM) fault, etc.

Throttle is a controllable valve that controls air to enter the engine. After the air enters the intake pipe, it will be mixed with gasoline to form a combustible mixture, which will be burned. It connects the air filter and the engine block, and is called the throat of the automobile engine.
