Why does the exhaust pipe of a car spray water when the throttle is increased?

It is a normal physical phenomenon that the automobile exhaust pipe sprays water. This is because in the process of automobile start-up, gasoline will produce carbon dioxide and water vapor after complete combustion, and the water vapor will become liquid water after cooling and condensation, and will flow out of the exhaust pipe after reaching a certain amount. During driving, due to the high exhaust pressure of the vehicle engine, the exhaust pipe sprays water when stepping on the accelerator.

The more water comes out of the automobile exhaust pipe, the better.

Engine dripping is generally a normal phenomenon, but there are exceptions: if the cooling water tank in the engine leaks and the cooling water touches the combustion chamber, it will also cause the exhaust pipe to drip. If you feel that your car is dripping abnormally, just look at whether the water in the engine compartment cooling water tank leaks.

Although the dripping of automobile exhaust reflects the performance of automobile, the more the better. Excessive water accumulation in the exhaust pipe will damage the oxygen sensor in the three-way catalytic converter, which will lead to inaccurate fuel supply for the engine and affect the performance of the vehicle. On the other hand, water droplets staying in the exhaust pipe for a long time will also accelerate pipeline corrosion.
