New Excelle 1.8L(L75 Engine) Timing Belt Decomposition Steps

The disassembly and assembly steps of the new Excelle 1.8L(L75 engine) timing belt are as follows: Disassembly process of the timing belt: 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect IAT sensor connector. 3. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet hose from the throttle body. 4. Disconnect the breather pipe from the camshaft cover (Figure 1-3- 14). Figure 1-3- 14 Disconnect the breather pipe 5. Remove the bolts of the air cleaner housing (Figure 1-3- 15). Figure 1-3- 15 Remove the bolts of air cleaner housing 6. Remove the air cleaner housing. 7. Remove the right front wheel. 8. Remove the fender of the right front wheel. 9. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt. 10. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt (Figure 1-3- 16). Figure 1-3- 16 Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and crankshaft pulley 1. Remove the crankshaft pulley (Figure 1-3- 16). 12. Remove the right engine bracket. 13. Remove the bolts of the front timing belt cover (Figure 1-3- 17). Figure 1-3- 17 Remove the front timing belt cover bolt 14. Remove the front timing belt cover. 15. Turn the crankshaft clockwise with the crankshaft gear bolt until the timing mark on the crankshaft gear is aligned with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover (Figure 1-3- 18). Loosen the hex head to release the belt tension. 18. Remove the timing belt (Figure 1-3-20). Figure 1-3-20 Disassembling timing belt Timing belt installation steps: 1. As shown in figure 1-3- 18, align the timing mark on the crankshaft gear with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover. 2. As shown in Figure 1-3- 19, align the timing mark on the camshaft gear, the intake gear and the intake gear mark, and the exhaust valve gear and the exhaust valve gear mark. 3. Install the timing belt as shown in figure 1-3-20. 4. Turn the hexagon shaft head clockwise to tighten the belt. Aim the pointer at the notch (Figure 1-3-2 1). Figure 1-3-2 1 Pointer alignment gap 5. Install the bolts of the automatic tensioner. Tighten the bolts of the automatic tensioner to 25 Nm 6. Turn the crankshaft clockwise for two turns with the crankshaft pulley bolt. 7. Re-check the automatic tensioner pointer. 8. Install the front timing belt cover (Figure 1-3-22). 9. Install the front timing belt cover bolt (Figure 1-3-22). Tighten the front timing belt cover bolt to 6 Nm. Figure 1-3-22 Install the front timing belt cover and belt cover bolts 10. Install the right engine support. 1 1. Install the crankshaft pulley. 12. See Figure 1-3- 16 to install the crankshaft pulley bolt. Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to 20 Nm. 13. Install the serpentine accessory drive belt. 14. Install the right front fender. Install the right front wheel. 16. Install the air cleaner housing. 17. Install the air cleaner housing bolts. Tighten the air cleaner housing bolts to 10 [newtonm]. 18. Connect the air cleaner outlet hose to the throttle body. 19. Connect the breather pipe to the camshaft cover. 20. Connect the air temperature sensor connector. 2 1. Connect the negative battery cable.
