Electronic throttle idle speed control system is more adaptable to carbon deposition and so on. Do not clean the electronic throttle body at will unless required by the diagnostic procedures or maintenance procedures in the maintenance manual.

Maintenance programming is risky, please use this method carefully and do it seriously. If the maintenance work of cleaning or replacing the electronic throttle body leads to excessive idle speed of the vehicle, it is suggested that the ECM maintenance programming work should be carried out at least twice after confirming that the line connection is normal and no parts are damaged. Let's take LaCrosse 2.4L as an example to introduce it. Other models do the same, just change to the corresponding VIN.

1. First, program the calibration procedures of other engines with different configurations (but only LZC and LZD can be selected, and LaCrosse 3.0L can be selected here) into the ECM of the faulty vehicle.

(1) Ask the faulty vehicle for information. When Tech2 asks if VIN is correct, please select "No".

⑵ Connect Tech2 to PC and download the calibration program. When TIS2000 requires VIN input, please input another VIN with different engine configurations that TIS2000 can recognize (for example, LSGWV53 C46S 128290). Note: Do not enter the VIN of the faulty vehicle at this time.

(3) Complete the remaining maintenance programming steps.

(4) Note that after the first maintenance programming, the calibration files of other engines with different configurations have been compiled into the ECM of the faulty vehicle. Do not start the engine at this time.

2. Repeat step 1 for the second maintenance programming, but the VIN in it needs to be changed back to the VIN of the faulty vehicle. After completion, the calibration procedure of the faulty vehicle can be reprogrammed into the ECM of the faulty vehicle.

After completing the above two steps of programming, the existing idle learning value in ECM can be cleared. At this point, clear the fault code and start the road test vehicle. If there is still a problem, there are other problems with the vehicle. Please follow the steps in the maintenance manual for daily inspection and maintenance.
