What are the similarities and differences between Tomb-Sweeping Day and Chinese Valentine's Day?

Difference: Tomb-Sweeping Day, also known as Youth Day, is a traditional Spring Festival in China, which is used to sweep graves and worship ancestors. Tanabata, also known as the Seven Clever Festival, is a comprehensive and romantic traditional festival with the folklore of "Cowherd and Weaver Girl" as the carrier, with the theme of blessing, begging for cleverness and courtship and women as the main body.

Tomb-Sweeping Day's traditional customs mainly focus on sweeping graves to worship ancestors and hiking, while Tanabata's traditional customs mainly focus on worshipping seven sisters, praying and wishing, seeking skillful skills, sitting and watching the morning glory and weaving girls, and praying for marriage.

Tomb-Sweeping Day is in mid-spring and late spring, and the time is around April 5th in Gregorian calendar. Valentine's Day in China falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month every year.

Similarities: Both of them are traditional festivals in China, and flowers need to be sent to eat. Both of them were included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
