What does the letter under the beer bottle mean?

As early as 1996, the country issued the mandatory standard GB 4544- 1996 for beer bottles, requiring beer producers to adopt bottles with the word "b", and began to promote them nationwide from 1997.

1On March 5, 1999, the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued the Notice on Several Issues Concerning the Implementation of Compulsory National Standards for Beer, which clearly stipulated that beer bottles produced and sold in People's Republic of China (PRC) must meet the new standards for beer bottles, and beer that does not meet the requirements of the new standards for beer bottles shall not be left the factory and sold. It is also stipulated in the notice that from1June 65438+ 1 day, beer bottles without the "b" symbol shall not appear again in the circulation field, otherwise the products produced and sold will be regarded as unqualified.

The so-called "B" bottle is marked with the proprietary symbol "B" within 20 mm above the bottom of the beer bottle, and marked with the manufacturer's logo, production year and quarter, etc. The service life of "B" bottle is two years. The safety of "B" bottles is higher than that of non-B bottles. The key point is that the internal pressure resistance is above 120 Pascal, which is not limited by non-B bottles. In case of collision or uneven force, it may explode. At the same time, "B" stands for special beer bottle, which is different from non-special bottles such as wine bottle, soy sauce bottle and vinegar bottle.

According to national regulations, the service life of "B" bottle is two years. If the production date of "B" on the "B" bottle is two years ago, it means that the "B" bottle has exceeded its service life and can be equated with a non-B bottle.
