16 throttle position sensor fails for the following reasons:

1, idle switch short circuit or open circuit.

2. Inappropriate installation and adjustment of the throttle body position sensor leads to the idle switch not being turned off when the throttle body is fully closed, or the idle switch is still turned off when the throttle body has a certain opening.

3. The sliding contact of the linear variable resistor is in poor contact, and the output signal of the throttle body position sensor is interrupted intermittently during the process of the throttle body from fully closed to fully open.
