No apparent motion map of the sun at 20 degrees north latitude was found. I don't know if I can read this picture.
Before and after the solar terms, the sun still shines directly in the northern hemisphere, rising from the northeast, then gradually moving south, reaching the highest point at noon. Because Haikou is located at 20 degrees north latitude and the direct point of the sun is on the line of 20 degrees north latitude, the sun is located at the zenith of Haikou at noon. After noon, the sun sets in the west and moves northward at the same time, and sets in the northwest in the evening. Around this date, the sun will not reach the south of Haikou.
Because it is not noon at Haikou time 1 1: 40, the sun is still in the northeast and has not reached the zenith. In another 20 minutes, the sun will be just at the zenith, neither south nor north. Because the direct point of the sun is on the latitude where Haikou is located.
Only after the summer solar term, when the latitude of the sun's direct point is less than 20 degrees north latitude, the sun will be southerly at noon. Only after the autumnal equinox solar terms will the sun rise in the southeast and set in the southwest. The sun is in the south all day and won't come to the north.
