The story of a bamboo spirit figure, 50 words.
"Asserting that Qingshan does not relax, the roots are broken. They have gone through a lot of trials and hardships, and they are still strong and willing to go east and west. " This well-known saying can be said to vividly describe the indomitable spiritual quality of bamboo. Bamboo grows silently in the barren hills, and she can survive tenaciously in adversity with perseverance, regardless of endless loneliness and desolation for many years.
The author of this poem is Zheng Banqiao. His paintings and his bamboo spirit have been passed down to this day. The following is his related story:
In the tenth year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1732), Zheng Banqiao, with the help of his friends, took an exam and won the prize. In the first year of Qianlong (1736), he was a Jinshi, and five years later, he was appointed as the county magistrate of Fanxian County, Shandong Province.
Fan County, located on the north bank of the Yellow River, has a population of100000, but there are only forty or fifty families in the county, which is not as big as a village. On his first day in office, Zheng Banqiao made a strange move: people made many holes in the wall of the county government. Others don't understand, ask him. He said it was the bad habit and vulgarity of former officials.
Five years later, Zheng Banqiao was transferred to the county magistrate of wei county. In order to be close to the people, every time he goes out to patrol, he doesn't sign "avoid" and "be quiet", and he is not allowed to sound the gong to clear the way. Sometimes he even wears clothes and sandals to visit the poor and asks questions incognito. Once he went out at night and heard the sound of reading in the thatched cottage. When he saw that a poor young man named Han Mengzhou was studying hard, Zheng Banqiao took out his own money to support him. Later, Han Mengzhou.
Because Zheng Banqiao lost his only son, he always looked for orphans and tried his best to help them. Children in county schools can't go home after school on rainy days, so he asked people to deliver meals. He also thought that children would easily break their shoes when walking on dirt roads, so he asked people to find some old shoes for them.
In the case of famine, Zheng Banqiao reported the facts and urged people to help. He also ordered wealthy families to take turns to provide porridge for hungry people. He also took the lead in donating his salary. He carved a seal that said, "I can't wait to fill the hunger debt of the whole people." When the disaster was serious, he resolutely decided to open an official warehouse to lend food to the people for emergency. His subordinates advised him to be cautious, because he would be punished if he didn't report it for approval. Zheng Banqiao said. Zheng Banqiao's decisiveness saved many lives. After the autumn, if the people can't return the food in the disaster year, Zheng Banqiao simply burns the bonds. The people are very grateful to him, an honest official who cares about the people and loves them like a child.
Zheng Banqiao is an official who doesn't talk about ostentation and extravagance, which also brings him some troubles. Because he often goes to the countryside to observe the people's feelings, his superiors often can't find him when they visit, so it is inevitable to ask him. In the seventeenth year of Qianlong, wei county suffered a great disaster, and Zheng Banqiao angered his boss by applying for relief, only to become an official.
Before he left, everyone came to see him off. Zheng Banqiao hired three donkeys, one riding by himself and the other letting others lead the way and carry luggage. He has been a county magistrate for twelve years, but he is so clean that people who see him off are very moved and reluctant to part. Zheng Banqiao presented a painting to the people of Wei County as a souvenir and wrote a poem:
It's not the official who lost the black veil,
The package rustled and the sleeves were cold.
Write a thin bamboo,
Make a fishing rod on the autumn river.
From then on, Zheng Banqiao returned to his hometown, painting bamboo for a living, and lived a poor and honest life. He only painted orchids, bamboos and stones all his life. He thought that orchids never fade in four seasons, bamboo never dies, and stones never die. This coincides with his stubborn character. His paintings are usually only a few bamboos, a stone and a few orchids. The composition is simple, but the layout is clever, and the thick and thin ink gives a three-dimensional impression. Bamboo leaves.
