Fault code p0 1 13, how to fix it?

Fault code: P0 1 13

Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 1 circuit high (line 65438 +0)

There are two ways to fix this fault:

1. Clean the throttle.

2. Replace with air temperature sensor.

The air temperature sensor is a two-wire sensor, which is installed on the intake pipe or in the air flow meter.

principle of operation

The air temperature sensor has a negative temperature coefficient. Temperature increases, resistance decreases, temperature decreases and resistance increases. With the change of resistance in the circuit, the voltage changes, thus generating different voltage signals and completing the automatic operation of the control system. When the car is cold, the signal of the air temperature sensor is basically the same as that of the engine water temperature sensor, while when the car is hot, its signal voltage is about 2~3 times that of the water temperature sensor.

structure

One air temperature sensor is 5THA provided by the engine ECU, and the other is E2 grounded with the engine.

Functional action

Detect the intake temperature of the engine, convert the intake temperature into a voltage signal and input it to ECU as a signal for fuel injection correction.
