How to Correct Chery Tiggo Timing Belt

Pacific Auto Network disassembled the valve cover, rocked the crankshaft to make the depressions on the two camshafts face each other, and inserted a special tool at the rear end of the camshafts to fix the two camshafts. Remove the bolt on the special bolt hole for fixing the crankshaft and the right lower part of the throttle valve on the steel body, and insert the special tool while shaking the crankshaft. When the crankshaft can't sway left and right, the crankshaft angle is fixed, and the positions of the four pistons are on the same horizontal plane, and the timing calibration is completed.

Chery Tiggo adopts ACTCEO engine independently developed by Chery. The timing characteristic of this engine is that after the designated marks are aligned, the four pistons are horizontal. Timing needs to be stuck in the groove behind the camshaft with 48 1 timing special camshaft tool, and the crankshaft positioning tool is stuck in the crankshaft positioning hole under the starter. There is no timing mark on the timing wheel.

If the timing of the car is wrong, the ignition will be advanced or delayed, which will lead to unstable idle speed, weak acceleration, engine jitter and power reduction. In severe cases, the engine will fail to start, the piston at the valve top and even the piston will be scrapped, the valve stem will be bent, and the crankshaft will be broken. If the positive time difference is too far, the vehicle can't start, or the piston and valve interfere after forced start, causing serious consequences.
