How to diagnose automobile faults with oscilloscope

It is mainly through the waveform measured by oscilloscope to judge whether there is a fault in each part of the car. Of course, it takes a lot of time to learn waveform analysis.

Oscilloscope can measure the charging/starting circuit of automobile, as well as various sensor signals, such as accelerator pedal, air flowmeter, camshaft, crankshaft, knock, oxygen sensor, intake pressure, throttle and so on. There are also ignition signals and communication signals such as can CAN and LIN. Various actuators, such as carbon canister solenoid valve, oil engine preheating plug, EGR solenoid valve, electronic fuel pump, idle speed control valve, pressure regulator, flow control valve, throttle servo motor, cooling fan, etc.

By observing the waveform of the signal, we can detect whether each component is running well and find out the problem.
