When is the grafting time of citrus? What are the advantages of grafting?
Choose t-bud grafting. First, open a T-shaped opening at the place where the glued wood is 3 ~ 5 cm away from the floor, which is suitable for seeing the phloem and peeling off the root of the deep glued wood. Then carefully cut off the roots of the sticky wood with a sharp knife and quickly put the buds of the shield-shaped leaflike stem in. Then loosen the soil 10 cm high. After 10 ~ 15 days, dig the soil and check the survival status. If the bud is fresh light green, the leaves and stems will fall off as soon as they touch, which means that it has survived, otherwise it will not survive, and it should be reconnected behind the glued wood.
Post-grafting management method: after the second autumn, cut off the green seedlings after bud grafting at 18 ~ 20 cm above the bud joint, and put them in bundles. Prune 3 ~ 4 times in summer, and cut off the branches that stick to the wood. When the grafted bud grows to 8 ~ 10 cm, it is tied on the living pile near the tip; When it grows to 20 ~ 25 cm, stick it on it again. Until the wood is transformed and the living piles are cut down, they can stay in the street to cultivate big seedlings. The grafting technology is not perfect, which is not conducive to survival. For example, the Daoxiao Noodles of budding is uneven, too deep or too shallow, the wound between budding Daoxiao Noodles and glued wood is not cleaned, the connection between scion and rootstock cambium is forbidden, the fusion surface of budding is too small and not tight, the plastic film strips are tied too loosely and tightly, and the plastic film is eliminated too early, which will reduce the survival rate of grafting.
However, in the citrus seedlings grafted with residual flowers, the protoplasm produced at the junction of rootstock and scion is not very good, which can not provide the nutrients needed for the growth and development of bud grafting reasonably. For example, premature film removal in spring or elimination of grafted plastic film under continuous high temperature drying will usually lead to a large number of live buds dying. Therefore, citrus seedlings grafted with residual flowers should be mowed, fertilized and watered first, and then the plastic film of bud grafting should be eliminated, which is beneficial to the germination of bud grafting and the growth and development of new shoots.
