What is the reason for the position performance of Cruze 2010p210/throttle actuator?

Cruze fault code: P2 10 1, electronic throttle position performance! The fault code is generated when the actual position of the throttle is inconsistent with the target position for more than 0.3s, and it is estimated that it is an internal fault of the throttle, such as stuck and dirty. It is recommended to clean or replace the throttle assembly.

During the operation of the throttle actuator control system, the following modes will be entered:

1. Minimum value of accelerator pedal: When starting with the key, ECM updates the read minimum value of accelerator pedal.

2. Minimum throttle position: When starting with the key, the ECM updates the read minimum throttle position. To know the minimum throttle position, move the throttle to the closed position.

3. Ice-breaking mode: If the throttle cannot reach the predetermined minimum throttle position, enter the ice-breaking mode. In the ice-breaking mode, the ECM has repeatedly instructed the throttle actuator motor to apply the maximum pulse width in the closing direction.

4. Battery saving mode: After the engine has no speed for a predetermined time, the engine control module indicates the battery saving mode. In the battery saving mode, the throttle actuator control module cuts off the voltage of the motor control circuit to eliminate the current used to maintain the idle position and restore the throttle to the default spring-loaded position.
