How to replace the valve oil seal

1. The valve body with oil-gas separation is hidden in the bonnet. To remove the valve cover, the intake manifold and the motor for adjusting the valve lift must be removed first.

2. The two small valve bodies in the valve cover do not work normally, resulting in incomplete separation of oil and gas, and a large number of them rush into the intake manifold, resulting in abnormal fuel consumption. These two small valve bodies and valve covers are of integrated design and need to be replaced as a whole.

3. Replace the valve oil seal together. Open the cylinder. It is recommended to replace it without disassembly. To remove the variable valve lift mechanism, it is necessary to use special tools to hold down the spring, otherwise some parts will easily "collapse".

4. After removing the camshaft, you can see 24 neat valves. In order to prevent the valve from falling into the cylinder after the spring falls off, it is necessary to introduce compressed air into the cylinder to establish a certain pressure and push the valve to the cylinder head before the subsequent work.

5. Press down the valve spring with the help of tools, so that the locking piece "grasped" on the valve stem can be taken out, and the connection between the valve and the spring is separated. Loosen the spring and take out the valve oil seal pressed below.

7. It can be seen that due to the aging of rubber, the aperture of the new valve oil seal in aperture ratio of the old valve oil seal is large.

8. Replace 24 valve oil seals one by one, and then reinstall the camshaft.

9. Recalibrate the engine timing with the timing tool.
