Simple manufacturing method of ultra-light clay

The hand-made steps of ultra-light clay are as follows:

Materials: ultra-light clay, red pigment and yellow pigment.

Tools: ballpoint pen or water-based pen, mud press.

1. First add a little red pigment to the white mud to make it uniform, and then add a little yellow pigment to make it uniform. First, knead the orange-pink clay into an oval strip, and then press both ends toward the middle.

2. Then knead the clay with the same color as its ears into thin strips, and the ears can be put in any direction.

3, and then there is the hand, just like the ear, first knead it into a long strip, then put it in the direction of the hand and then stick it on. You can use tweezers.

4. Then press your eyes out with a clay press. If you don't have this tool, you can use other round tools instead, such as pencil heads or toothpicks.

5. Then take a small piece of white mud and knead it into the shape of eyes and press it in. Eyes are smaller than eye sockets, so that they can be put in.

6. This is what we do here. The next step is to do the details. Use blue mud to make a small hat for decoration, and the rest of the mud can be used as a chassis.

7. Finally, it is the finishing touch. When the clay is completely dry, point out your eyes with a ballpoint pen or gel pen. Of course, it can also be made of black clay, and it will be more convenient to use strokes.

Matters needing attention in the use of ultra-light clay

Before kneading works with ultra-light clay, we should wash our hands and dry them. If you have hand cream at home, remember to apply it, which can prevent the ultra-light mud work from cracking and make it smoother. After each use of ultra-light clay, the remaining ultra-light clay should be put into a sealed bag or box to prevent the ultra-light clay from being naturally air-dried and unusable.

Before kneading the works with ultra-light clay, remember to fully knead the ultra-light clay and stretch it several times repeatedly, so that the surface of the kneaded ultra-light clay works will be smoother and smoother. Ultra-light clay should be combined when it is not dry, so that all parts can be combined more firmly. If necessary, white latex can be used to assist the combination.
