My car cleaning agent washed the valve, and after climbing 3000 revolutions, the noise was loud and the fuel consumption increased. What is the reason? Is it normal?

Reason 1: Failure to initialize the configuration after washing will lead to an increase in fuel consumption (the main reason).

After the throttle valve is cleaned, there is no sludge blockage. If the throttle valve still maintains its previous opening, the intake air volume will be too large. As a result, the engine will shake when starting, the acceleration will be weak, and the engine fault light may light up.

Then why does the engine sometimes work normally without initialization after cleaning the throttle? That's because the throttle is not too dirty, and its intake has not changed much after cleaning. However, the change of the throttle valve after cleaning is invisible to the naked eye and needs to be initialized.

Initialization can be completed by special computer and manual setting. It is recommended to complete initialization by special computer.

The second reason: the special coating of throttle valve was damaged by using too corrosive cleaning agent.

The inner wall of the throttle valve has a special coating treatment, which is as smooth and shiny as mercury coating, and has the functions of anti-static, non-dust absorption and reducing the formation of sludge on its surface. Corrosive cleaning agent (liquid) has destructive effect on the special coating on the throttle valve, which leads to the increase of clearance, idle speed and fuel consumption.
