The central square covers an area of 45,000 square meters and is a project to commemorate the return of Hong Kong. In the center of the square, the largest white marble in China is19.97m in height and1.997m in diameter. There are eight dragons on the base of the watch, and a dragon is engraved on the column. Nine dragons symbolize Kyushu, China. At the top of the watch, there is a glittering sky-watching roar, 2.3 meters high. The white marble pillars around Huabiao are 12.34 meters high, each with a palace lantern. The center of the square imitates the design of the dome of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. It is paved with 999 pieces of Sichuan red marble engraved with heavenly stems and earthly branches, 24 solar terms and 12 zodiac signs. Standing on your own zodiac can bring good luck. The inner diameter of the square is 199.9 m, and the outer diameter is 239.9 m, which means the 500th anniversary of Dalian's founding in 2399.
Around the square is a large musical fountain. Starting from the center of the central avenue of the square, 500 meters to the north is the exhibition center, and 500 meters to the south is the blue sea. The central avenue is lined with red bricks and green grass. Xinghai Square is backed by the city and facing the sea, with an open mind.
