Where is Tibetan Medog?
Medog County is high in the north and low in the south, with an altitude of 200-7787m and an average altitude of 1200m. Nange Bawa Peak and Garabalai Peak are the two highest peaks in the East Himalayas, and the terrain drops sharply from north to south. Nangarbawa Peak in the north is 7756m above sea level, while pasighat in the south is only 155m above sea level.
Medog county belongs to the subtropical humid climate zone on the east side of Himalayas. The four seasons are like spring, with abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 16℃, 1 the monthly average temperature is 8.4℃, the annual extreme minimum temperature is 2℃, and the maximum temperature is 33.8℃. The annual rainfall is over 2358 mm, the maximum rainfall in the south can reach 5000 mm, the annual sunshine hours are 2000 hours, and the annual frost-free period is 340 days.
