Therefore, if our indoor space is very limited and we can only put succulents outdoors, we can hold a sun umbrella or cover the plants with plastic film to help the succulents resist the first frost. But if the temperature is below MINUS 5 degrees, plants will be directly frostbitten by low temperature.

As for melting snow, this is also the most feared thing for fleshy people. When it snows, the fragments of leaves may not be frostbitten, but melting snow absorbs heat, which is easy to cause frostbite to plants. Therefore, if there is snow on plants, it must be washed away with clear water before the snow melts to prevent the plants from being frostbitten again.

When winter comes, we shouldn't fertilize plants. Plants with low temperature won't grow much unless you put them in a greenhouse or a heating room. The role of fertilization is very limited, but it is easy to cause fat damage.

Fifth, introduce another small method to help succulents overwinter. Saw off the top inner frame with a foam preservation box (such as cake box and fruit box), put it in 1/3 capacity of semi-saturated perlite, vermiculite or sand, remove the flowerpots of flowers and trees, and put it in a box with soil. Cut a piece of transparent plastic cloth and put it on the box for light transmission. Put it in a sunny place, it can not only keep warm and prevent freezing, but also ensure the normal growth of plants. It must be noted that when using the above method, the mulch film must be uncovered regularly to let the flowers and trees "breathe", otherwise the temperature and humidity in the small ring are too high, which will easily lead to the plants "burning to death" or rotting roots.
