How to calibrate the wet gas flowmeter

Usually, a standard measuring bottle is used to calibrate the wet gas flowmeter.

The volume of the standard measuring bottle is exactly 1 liter between scale ⅰ and scale ⅱ. This volume of gas is introduced into the wet gas flowmeter. If the pointer of the flowmeter also turns to 1 liter, the reading of the flowmeter is correct; Otherwise, the flowmeter should be adjusted or corrected.

The test steps are as follows:

1. Adjust the wet gas flowmeter as required (add proper amount of water to the wet gas flowmeter and level it).

2. Connect the standard measuring bottle, water cup and moisture flowmeter, and add a certain amount of water into the water cup.

3. Open cock 5 and turn cock 6 to make the air in the standard measuring bottle flow into the flowmeter. When the flow meter pointer just points to the integer value, turn the cock 6 to make the air in the standard measuring bottle communicate with the atmosphere.

4. Lower the position of the water cup and lower the water level. When the water level drops to scale II, close cock 5 to stop the water level at scale II. Put the water cup back on top of the bracket 4.

5. Turn the cock 6 to make the air in the standard measuring bottle communicate with the flowmeter. After opening cock 5, the air in the bottle flows into the flowmeter again. When the water level rises to scale I, close cock No.5. Read the flowmeter reading and fill it in the record form.

6, repeat the above 3, 4, 5, read the flowmeter reading, fill in the record form. Until the flowmeter pointer turns 1 full turn.

If it is found that the reading of the flowmeter is always lower (or higher) than the volume of the standard measuring bottle, it means that the water level in the wet gas flowmeter is low (or high) and can be adjusted by adding (or reducing) water. If it is found that the reading of the flowmeter is sometimes lower than the volume of the standard measuring bottle and sometimes higher than the volume of the standard measuring bottle, it means that the impeller is uneven. At this time, it is necessary to calculate the correction coefficient and draw the correction curve for measurement.
