Changes of solar terms in Qing dynasty

Before the Gregorian calendar was implemented in the Republic of China, the traditional lunar calendar was used in all previous dynasties, so the ancient New Year's Day refers to the first day of the first lunar month.

The Spring Festival is different, sometimes it refers to the first day of the first month, and sometimes it refers to the solar terms in beginning of spring, so there is a tradition of celebrating festivals in beginning of spring. When the Constitution of the Republic of China was formulated, and later when the First Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) was formulated, the Gregorian calendar 1 day was clearly defined as New Year's Day, and the first day of the first lunar month was called "Spring Festival".

In the Qing Dynasty and previous dynasties, the first day of the first month was always the beginning of a year, that is, the beginning of a new year (for example, the year of the rat entered the year of the ox), but when fortune-telling was carried out, it was divided into different situations.

First, before the first month, beginning of spring entered the first day of the first month and started everyone's zodiac; Second, beginning of spring started in beginning of spring after the first day of the first month.

For example, the first day of the first month of 7 1 (pig) is at the end of the Gregorian calendar 1, but beginning of spring was born in mid-February. If he had been born at this time, he would not be a pig, but a dog. Although they have actually entered the Year of the Pig, they are still treated as dogs in fortune telling.
