The making process of sundial

A sundial is an ancient timekeeping instrument. There are many ways to make it. Here's a simple way to make it:

Materials:

-? A round plate or flat bowl.

-? A thin wooden pole or bamboo pole.

-? A piece of cardboard or cardboard.

-? clocks and watches

Steps:

1.? Drill a small hole in the center of the board, slightly larger than the thin wooden pole in diameter.

2.? Insert the thin wooden pole into the hole to make it perpendicular to the board and fix it on the board.

3.? Place the chessboard horizontally and use the clock to determine the direction of 12 at noon.

4.? On the surface of the crossbar, mark it equally (generally 12) from the center of the thin wooden pole to the periphery. Each mark corresponds to one hour, and minute marks can be added.

5.? Draw a circle on the cardboard with a diameter slightly larger than that of the board.

6.? Cut the cardboard into a circle, stick it on the board, and let the thin wooden pole pass through the center of the circle.

7.? Draw the hours on the circular edge of the cardboard and mark the minutes per hour accordingly.

8.? Place the sundial in a sunny place (the angle of sunlight is preferably close to the position perpendicular to the sundial), and the number pointed by the shadow of the thin wooden pole is the current time.

Note: The sundial is an instrument based on the position of the sun, which can only be used in sunny conditions, and its reliability is not as good as that of modern clocks and watches.
