Artistic features:

Li Shujian is an outstanding representative of "Western Henan School". For more than 20 years, he has starred in more than a dozen outstanding plays, such as The Hall of the Great Deng, Feng Qingting and Village Police Officer. He excavated and sorted out the traditional vocal heritage of "Western Henan Opera", visited the famous stills of "Western Henan Opera to Save the Lonely", learned their singing methods and skills, and pondered the tricks of using gas, vocalizing and moistening the opera. Finally, he mastered the basic characteristics and charm of Wang Ershun, a famous student in western Henan, and was once known as "Little Wang Ershun". But the art is endless, and he learned the singing methods of other famous artists in western Henan. After long-term stage practice, he gradually formed his own unique singing style, which has obvious personality characteristics, that is, Wang Ershun has the characteristics of loud voice, wide range and mellow rhyme, and makes the "Western Henan Tune", which was originally good at expressing tortuous and euphemistic feelings, more tragic and desolate. This is very obvious in the singing of his masterpiece "Qingfeng Pavilion". In the play, he plays the industrious, honest and painful Zhang Yuanxiu. His singing is high and low. When the treble is very high, the sound vibrates the whole audience; When I am depressed, I wander, just like a hairspring. In singing, there are both the simplicity and elegance of Ma's "decline school" and the desolation and tragic of Zhou's "Qi school". In Cheng Ying's Henan Opera Saving the Orphan, Li Shujian simplified the stylized performance and made the singing, recitation and characters more vivid. In particular, "Lost Son" and "Sixteen Years", which both use "soft voice" and "angry voice", are actually crying and singing. The former cries for others, while the latter cries for himself, so it is very sad that he doesn't cry. Cheng Ying's "Saving the Orphan" won the "Wenhua Award", the top ten national stage art works, and the "Five One Project" award in the 10 issue. Li Shujian was also identified as a "four-group" talent by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China.
