Kangping Groundnut is a Protected Geographical Indication product.

Kangping Groundnut is a specialty of Kangping County, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Groundnuts, also known as yams, sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc., rich in protein, starch, pectin, cellulose, amino acids, vitamins and a variety of minerals, has the reputation of "longevity food". It has the effect of anti-cancer, heart protection, prevention of emphysema, diabetes, weight loss and so on.

Quality and Technical Requirements for Kangping Groundnuts

I. Varieties

Local Traditional sweet potato varieties.

Second, terrestrial conditions

Slope hillock land. Soil type is wind sandy soil, soil texture is medium loam, pH range is 6.82 to 7.9, organic matter content ≥1.2%.

Three, cultivation techniques

1. Nursery:

(1) Nursery time: early to mid-April.

(6) kang seedling management: after planting seed potatoes until the emergence of seedlings, the temperature of the bed soil is controlled at 30℃ to 35℃. After the emergence of seedlings, the temperature is controlled at 27 ℃ to 30 ℃, 5 days before pulling out seedlings for low-temperature squatting, the temperature of 20 ℃ to 25 ℃. After seedling pulling, the temperature was increased to 30℃ to 35℃ for 3 days to promote seedlings, then the temperature was 20℃ to 25℃ for 3 to 4 days to squat seedlings. Soil humidity is maintained at 70% to 80% during the nursery period, and the head is watered thoroughly 5 to 6 days before emergence.

2. Transplanting: mid-May transplanting. Transplanting density per 667_ (mu) 4000 to 5000 plants.

3. Field management:

(1) Pre-growth (from planting to sealing): check the field 3 to 5 days after planting to replenish seedlings. During 60 to 70 days after planting, more than two times of plowing and weeding. The last and second plowing should be combined with furrow cultivation. The main stem grows to about 50cm, and the top buds are removed when the branches grow to 50cm to 60cm long.

(2) mid-growth (from the sealing of the ridge to the return of seedlings): 70 to 120 days after planting, two times to lift the vine treatment, two times to lift the vine between 15 to 20 days.

(3) Late growth (from the beginning of stem and leaf decline to the harvest period): pay attention to timely drainage.

4. Harvest: mid- to late September groundnut leaves turn yellow partially, timely harvest.

5. Environmental and safety requirements: the use of pesticides, fertilizers, etc. must be in line with relevant national regulations, and shall not pollute the environment.

Four, quality features

1. Sensory features: bright color, spindle humour type, smooth skin. Taste sweet, sheep, sand, glutinous.

2. Physicochemical indicators: crude polysaccharide content ≥ 3.3%, protein ≥ 2.5%, niacin content ≥ 0.5mg/100g, potassium content ≥ 16mg/100g.
