glass
Glass is an amorphous solid obtained by cooling and solidification of a melt. Most of the glass used in daily life is silicate glass with SiO _ 2 as the main component, which belongs to Na2O-Cao-SiO _ 2 system. Its structure is silicon-oxygen tetrahedron, which is connected with each other through vertex angles to form an irregular three-dimensional network. In addition to silicate glass, there are oxide glasses mainly composed of B2O3, P2O5, Al2O3, GeO2, TeO2 and V2O5, non-oxide glasses mainly composed of sulfur compounds and halides, and metallic glasses formed by rapid cooling of some alloys.
sitall
Glass-ceramics is a special glass material, which is formed by growing a large number of evenly distributed tiny crystals in the glass matrix through heat treatment. In other words, it is a kind of material with similar ceramic properties made by glass process, so it is also called glass ceramics. Generally, the size of microcrystals can range from 10 nanometer to several microns, and the number of crystals can reach 50-90%. Glass-ceramics are composed of Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2, MgO-Al2O3-SiO2, CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 and other systems.
Timely glass.
Timely glass is a kind of glass with a single silica composition. It is made of crystal, silicon dioxide and silicide (such as SiCl4) by high temperature melting or chemical vapor deposition.
Photochromic glass (photochromic glass)
There is a kind of glass that can change color with the intensity of light, which is called photochromic glass for short. It darkens when exposed to light, and fades and regains sight automatically after the light stops. Glass forming systems are very extensive, including borosilicate, borate, phosphate and alkali metal aluminosilicate systems. Photosensitizers in glass can introduce silver halide, silver molybdate, copper halide, cadmium halide, thallium chloride and other substances according to different systems.
optical glass
Crown glass and flint glass are divided into two categories and more than a dozen subcategories, with about 200 brands. Each brand must have specific optical constants, optical uniformity, transparency and chemical stability. Some optical glasses also need special dispersion. Optical glass requires pure raw materials, and molten glass should be stirred. According to the characteristics of different glasses, crucible melting, continuous melting and high frequency melting can be used. The molding process can be broken cans, pouring, rolling, dripping, liquid absorption, pressing and other processes.
Laser glass
Laser glass is a laser working substance based on glass and doped with certain activating ions.
