What do you mean by adverbs in English?
Adverbs are words that characterize an action or state of affairs in a sentence and are used to modify verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, or whole sentences to indicate concepts such as time, place, degree, and manner.
Adverbs in English can be categorized as: adverbs of time, adverbs of frequency, adverbs of place, adverbs of manner, adverbs of degree, adverbs of question, adverbs of conjunction, adverbs of relation, adverbs of order, adverbs of completion. Words that can serve to modify or limit the effect of a verb or adjective, or express degree or scope.
Most adverbs are placed after the verb, or after a be verb, auxiliary verb, or modal verb, and before a real verb. If the real verb is followed by an object, it is placed after the object.
