Introduction of gold and silver colored embroidery
Gold and silver colored embroidery is a kind of Ningbo embroidery and one of the excellent traditional handicrafts of Han nationality in China. Gold and silver colored embroidery, formerly known as "Gold and Silver Embroidery", is an embroidery with different patterns embroidered on silk with gold and silver silk threads and other colored silk threads. Ningbo gold and silver color embroidery is unique in style, rich in color, expressive and widely used, and is deeply welcomed by people at home and abroad. After the reform and opening up, gold and silver colored embroidery was restored in Ningbo Embroidery Factory, and some works won provincial and national awards. 1990, a large-scale vertical screen work of gold and silver colored embroidery designed and produced by Ningbo Embroidery Factory, Baihe Chaoyang, was collected by China Arts and Crafts Museum. With the changes of the times, gold and silver colored embroidery has been lacking in local production in Ningbo. Although some middle-aged and elderly people have a skill, it is difficult to return to their old jobs because of high cost and low income.
