On May 23rd, the 216 National Men's Wushu Sanda Championship ended in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. * * * 394 experts from 46 teams from all over the country signed up for the six-day competition. Shaanxi players Zhang Kun and Xu Jiaheng played well and won gold medals in the 75 kg class and 1 kg class respectively, which won honors for Shaanxi.
This Wushu Sanda Championship is sponsored by the Wushu Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, the Chinese Wushu Association and the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau. It is also the highest-standard event for men's Wushu Sanda in the first half of this year. According to the regulations, the top 16 players at all levels in this tournament will be directly qualified to participate in the national championship in the second half of the year. The competition in this tournament is extremely fierce, with nearly 2 first-round competitions in 12 levels.
