Net baseball, where did it originate?
Netball (English name lacrosse), also known as lacrosse. Originally from North America, it is a traditional game of the Indian Bagatawe, mainly used as a physical exercise for warriors and for rituals. There were no rules at the time, so the players were rough, often physically attacking their opponents, and there was no safety equipment (such as protective gear and shoes).
There was no safety in the extremely fast netball game, and injuries were common, sometimes even resulting in death, so the game was known as rough and tumble. It evolved into a means of military training in preparation for war, and was also used to resolve conflicts between tribes.
In 1636, netball was founded by a French Christian who settled in Canada. In 1636, netball was introduced to Canada by the French Christian clergyman Jean de Bourbillon. Jean De Brebeu (Figure 1-2), who discovered and systematized it to increase safety, and its English name, la-crosse, evolved from the French word la crosse, meaning bishop's scepter, in Canada.
With simple rules in place, a netball game was played in 1794 between two tribes, the Seneca (an Iroquois tribe in western New York State) and the Mohawk, and the rules were newly revised in light of this game.
In 1834, in Montreal, Canada, this Indian sport was first reported in the local press and attracted much interest. As the sport grew, in the Americas, white outsiders gradually began to treat it as a sport and to take an active part in it.
William?
In 1876, Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom began to pay attention to tennis baseball, and gave it a high evaluation. In the same year, New York University in the United States set up the first college netball team. Five years later, in 1881, the Western College Netball League officially began.
Women's netball began in Scotland, and in the early 20th century, modern netball began to emerge and spread rapidly and develop. In the modern Olympic Games in 1904, netball appeared in the Olympic family as a performance item. 1971, the International Federation of Netball was established, netball officially became an organized sport, and set up men's and women's netball world championships, so that the development of netball has gained unprecedented prosperity.
At present, there are more than twenty countries and regions in the world that have carried out net baseball, mostly concentrated in Europe and the United States. The level of net baseball in the United States and Canada is improving rapidly, and the competitive level of Australia, Britain and other latecomer countries is also improving year by year. Japan is one of the first countries in Asia to develop netball, and the development speed is very fast, and it achieved the fourth place in the netball World Cup in 2003. At the same time, Japan is also one of the main promotional countries in the Asian region net baseball, first in South Korea, Hong Kong, China to promote, and then spread the sport to mainland China.
At present, there are three countries in Asia, namely China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. China's net baseball began in 1997, when the Beijing Sports University appointed three coaches to study in Japan, after returning to China in October of that year in the Beijing Sports University set up a men's and women's net baseball school team, which is the earliest team in the history of China's net baseball. After ten years of development and unremitting efforts, the Beijing Sport University tennis baseball team has rapidly developed and expanded, and so far there are more than 400 players who have gone through formal and systematic study and training.
Beijing University of Physical Education has become a base for the development of tennis baseball in China, and has successfully held two "Sino-Japanese Friendship Tennis Baseball Conference" and five "Beijing Cup" International Tennis Baseball Invitational Tournaments, and has sent a team to participate in the Hong Kong International Tennis Baseball Invitational Tournament in 2002, which spreads the sport of tennis baseball to more areas in China through friendly exchanges and competitions.
The Capital Institute of Physical Education, Yanshan University, Dalian University of Technology, and Beijing Huijia Boys' High School set up their own teams one after another; Tsinghua University, the Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Huijia College, the University of Science and Technology of China's middle school, and the Qinghe Five Primary Schools and other colleges and universities sent their students to participate in study and exchange activities, which made the students develop a strong interest in this program.
The net baseball is said to be one of the fastest ball sports in the world. It uses the net at the top of the stick to control the ball, and is a team competition that combines the characteristics of soccer, basketball, field hockey and ice hockey. When the players on the field at the same time fast attack, fast defense for attack and defense, net baseball using the principle of leverage to make the ball speed becomes extremely fast, it is very much on the athletes' movement coordination, basic skills and teamwork, and men's game contains more similar to the ice hockey game of intense physical confrontation.
This combination of performance, speed and skill is as appealing as any popular sport. Men's games are played 10 against 10 and women's games are played 12 against 12. Because it is a collective confrontation is more intense sports, so through the tennis baseball exercise can improve the collective consciousness of the players, enhance the team spirit and cohesion.
Women's tennis baseball players dressed in skirts, holding a shallow tennis racket, the game does not allow rushing and hitting each other players. Men's tennis baseball adds helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads and gloves as protective gear, and the players can make reasonable rushes and hits during the game, which enhances the confrontational nature of the game, raises the intensity of the game, and makes the game more ornamental.
Today's netball has evolved from a primitive religious ritual into a modern sport with spectacle and physical fitness. This change in nature has taken place over a long period of centuries. The development of the men's netball rules represents a move away from the brutality of the original game and towards a safer, more sensible approach to the game.
While the game still retains a certain amount of physical collision and bat hitting action, the protection of vulnerable parts of the body is very strict in the rules, and the penalties for violating the rules are also very severe, greatly reducing the physical injuries caused by intense confrontation to the players.
Currently, the rackets used in tournaments are gradually using high-tech materials to replace the wooden and leather rackets and nets of the past. Through the reform and modernization of the racket, the racket is not only more durable and strong, but also more suitable for the full play of technology. With the use of rubber-made match balls, the ball speed is faster, the game is smoother and more appreciable. Now the men's game rules require that athletes must wear protective gear such as helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, protective gloves, etc., while others such as teeth guards, waist guards, and crotch guards are optional. Goalkeepers additionally must wear throat guards, chest guards, crotch guards and leg guards.
With the protection of these protective gear to reduce the body confrontation and racket hit when the injury. The women's game has less confrontation, but there are also teeth guards, eye guards and gloves to choose from. With the development of technology, the game protective gear is also gradually towards the direction of safety and lightweight. Currently the individual skills of netball are developing in the direction of comprehensive and coordinated.
In order to adapt to the high intensity and flexibility of the game, it is necessary to cultivate left and right-handed players who are able to catch, throw, pass and shoot the ball. Those who can only catch and throw the ball with one hand are often referred to as "one-handed", such players are no longer adapted to the needs of the game, and only left- and right-handed all-round athletes tend to be qualified players on the field.
With updated equipment and the influence of the rules, the netball game is also changing from the individual ability to determine the outcome of the game to highlight the team's overall offensive and defensive concepts. As the defense adopts a collective defense, the attacking side must also rely on the collective strength to organize an orderly and coordinated attack. This has increased the intensity and excitement of the game, and the fierce competition between offense and defense has greatly increased the spectacle of the game.
From the earliest Indian tribes passed down the net baseball, to the non-Olympic program in the twentieth century within a hundred years *** more than twenty countries have carried out, although the current view of its development speed is slow, but the practice of net baseball to enhance physical fitness and team awareness have a very good effect. From this point of view, the netball program to exercise the benefits brought to the exercise is no less than any of the world's widely popular sports. I believe that, with the gradual familiarization and understanding of this sport, in the near future, net baseball will become one of the popular sports.
