What are the customs in Yueqing, Zhejiang?

In 1923, there is a Mr. Wu Yuping, a shopkeeper who is good at doing business in Xingsan Village, Nanyue. He learned that the mainland and Taiwan Province Province could be navigable, so he joined several villagers to buy a cargo ship "Golden Wan Tai" with a passenger capacity of more than 1000, and often traveled to Keelung City, Taiwan Province Province to do business in rice, iron plates, red (white) sugar and kerosene. He saw it in his eyes and thought to himself why he didn't distribute foreign oil cannons every year to add luster to his hometown Nanyue. After returning to China at the end of that year, he successfully trial-produced a "foreign oil cannon" himself. Later, he and others collected bamboo, made several "foreign oil cannons" and performed them at the Dragon Lantern Festival in January, adding a lively atmosphere to the festivals in his hometown. People applauded Dong Naigong for doing good things for his hometown.

Since then, Nanyue has a unique performance of "foreign oil cannon" every Lantern Festival. So now people say that the "foreign oil cannon" of Nanyue Lantern Festival is also a traditional folk skill, which was brought by Dong Naigong from Taiwan Province Province.

2. Yueqing bean pigeon

Douge, also known as Du Ge, Duibai, Koubai and Wenbotai, is a wonderful flower of Yueqing folk culture, and its accent is only accompanied by Qing dialect (Xixiang).
